I'm rather confused as what we're supposed to be doing for the Final Lab
Project. The instructions seem rather vague as to what we're supposed to do.

The lab describes in detail how to construct a Light Sensor. It uses the
parts given to us in the kit. If everyone is to build the lab circuit,
everyone's project will be the same. This is where my confusion begins: if
everyone is the same, how can there be a competition?

I've also been hearing that we can design and build our own circuits. If
that is the case, does that mean that we have to build the circuit in the
lab as well as building our own circuit?

And another thing: if we are to build our own circuit, what are the
restrictions on said circuit, if any?

Everybody's project will be the same. This is to ease grading and checkoff.
The competition is for students who wish to do something more than the lab
guide specifies (i.e. add more functionality). Any parts that can be found
in the cabinet or anything from outside of lab can be used for this with no
limitations. I will put up competition details on the website later today.
